Ellie can help you with the following nutrition-related health issues:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome:
Ask yourself, do you experience symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), such as bloating, wind, abdominal pain, chronic constipation and/or diarrhea?
This may suggest that you have a food intolerance. Dietary triggers can include a variety of foods such as:
* Fatty foods
* Spicy foods
* Excess fibre
* Processed foods
* Fermentable sugars
* Some natural and added food chemicals
Ellie will work with you to determine your dietary triggers and provide expert guidance to resolve the issue, whilst still maintain a balanced, fulfilling diet.
Have you had a recent diagnosis of coeliac disease or have you been suffering from a coeliac disease for a long time but require a refresher and some up to date practical tips and ideas?
Ellie understands the difficulties of living with coeliac disease and maintaining a gluten-free diet and is dedicated to helping you manage your intolerance. Many individuals with coeliac disease also suffer from other food intolerances (lactose, fructose) which can be investigated to provide the practical advice you need, including:
* Maintaining adequate nutrition
* Reading and assessing food labels
* Choosing suitable takeaway and dining options
* Quick and easy meals and recipes
* Information regarding fiber levels
Nutrition & Cancer :
During and after cancer treatment some people may experience side effects that create difficulty when eating and drinking which may result in weight gain or loss. There are mass amounts of conflicting evidence which suggests which foods are best to eat whilst having cancer. This can leave sufferers feeling confused and overwhelmed, however, Ellie is able to provide you with expert advice to ensure higher energy levels during treatment to reduce the severity of side effects and as a result, an easier recovery period.
This advice can include:
* Suggestions for managing side effects (e.g. poor appetite, taste changes, sore mouth, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or difficulty with swallowing)
* Advice on nutritional supplements including which ones to use and when
* Develop personalized weight management and healthy eating programs for both people under or overweight which account for your individual lifestyle
* Long term nutritional advice and support
A nutrition check-up will provide you with expert advice to help you jump-start your healthy eating plan. Ellie develops personalized plans that cater to your individual lifestyle and dietary needs as she understands that one diet does not fit all.
If you’re unsure whether you need a nutrition check-up, consider the following:
* Am I maintaining my best bodyweight?
* Fuelling my body with the best balance of food?
* Drinking the correct amount?
* Consuming enough wholefoods?
* Eating a nutritional breakfast every day?
Ellie will be able to assist you in identifying improvements to your eating habits to promote a healthier body and future for you.
